What’s Your Life?

Some years ago, there was a television show called, “What’s Your Line?”  If I remember the show correctly, contestants had to guess what a special guest person’s job or occupation was by asking questions.  But today, I ask: “What’s your life?”  A person’s life may consist of many things.  But often there is a driving focus to one’s life.  It may be family, friends, social media, music, hobbies, travel, money, a job, a career, or even a secret vice or addiction.  What is your life?

For King David, his entire life was wrapped up in God.  David professes in Psalm 16:11: “You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”   What a wonderful expression of joy and trust in God!  What a wonderful expression of the centrality of God in David’s life!  For David, every other pursuit was trivial.  Every other god was an idol.  Only the true and living God could satisfy.  Only our God gives true life!

Again, I ask:  What’s your life?  This is the question we’ll consider this coming Sunday at Grace Church.  The message “My Lord is My Life” will inspire and challenge you.  The music will lift your heart and refocus your thoughts on God.  The fellowship will warm your soul.  Friends will greet you.  Visitors will be welcomed.  And, the healing presence of the Holy Spirit will revitalize you!  Truly, God has something good in store for you this Sunday at Grace Church!

Worship begins at 10:00 AM.  A nursery space and Busy Bags are available for children.  Children 3 years through those in 2nd grade will be dismissed for Children’s Church just prior to the message.  Refreshments will be served for all in our Fellowship Hall following the service.  It’s going to be another Spirit-filled Sunday at Grace Church.  And I sincerely hope you will be present.  Please reach out and/or forward this email to invite you family and friends.  See you Sunday!
