The God of Nations
What a blessing to live in America! We may not be a perfect nation. We have a long way to go to become “a more perfect union.” But we have a lot to be thankful for, including all those who fought and gave the sacrifice of their time, energy, and even lives to ensure the freedoms we enjoy and often take for granted. One of those freedoms is the freedom of religion – the freedom to worship God without fear and in ways we choose to do so. Praise God for the U.S. of A.!
This Sunday, as we exercise this right to express our faith publicly, we gather at Grace Church for an encouraging message entitled, “Against All Odds,” based on the story of Naaman in 2 Kings 5:1-14. Together we will discover four surprising and hope-giving ways God worked in Naaman’s situation and continues to work in our lives today as well. We’ll also be challenged by Naaman’s story to live lives of faith and obedience before God within our own country here and now.
Worship begins at 10:00 AM. We’ll enjoy a mini-hymn sing of some of our favorite patriotic hymns. We’ll honor service members. We’ll receive six new members into our fellowship. And, we’ll hear the Word of God preached boldly and with conviction. May the Holy Spirit touch you this Sunday and lead you do a deeper faith in Jesus! A Children’s Church and Nursery will be provided. Refreshments will be served in honor of our new members following the service.
It’s going to be another Spirit-filled Sunday at Grace Church! I sincerely hope you will plan to join us. Please reach out, invite friends and family members, forward this email, share a post, offer a ride, and/or bring a guest along with you. It’ll also be the last Sunday I’m present before taking my annual two-week summer vacation. Let us meet at the “house of the Lord” this coming Sunday morning and give God all the praise and honor the good Lord deserves!
