Celebrating our Graduates!

Remember graduating from high school?  That was 44 years ago for me!  But I do remember feeling some apprehension about my future.  I was excited and nervous at the same time.  The whole world was ahead of me.  Yet, I was leaving people and places that I had known for most of my life.  Would I go to college?  Would I continue working at the turkey farm?  What would I do as an adult?  How would I make it?  I’m still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up!

Graduation is an exciting time.  And this Sunday, Grace Church will proudly recognize and honor our four high school graduates.  Four young ladies who have been a faithful part of our student ministries programs for years.  Four young ladies who have bright and promising futures.  Four young ladies who will courageously enter the “adult world” of independence and unknowns.  We praise God for these young women and celebrate their accomplishments this Sunday!

My message is entitled, “Answering the Call,” as we focus on the call of wisdom upon our lives.  It’s not just a message for graduates, but for everyone!  Please join us as worship begins at 10:00 AM.  The message will challenge you.  Worship will uplift you.  The fellowship will warm your heart.  And, the Holy Spirit will inspire you.  We will give our graduates some gifts and hear their future plans.  A Children’s Church is provided.  Cake and refreshments will follow the service.

Last week was our “Sunday in the Park” service (in the church).  We had 40 visitors.  Let’s do it again this week!  I invite you to continue reaching out to family, friends, neighbors, and strangers – inviting them to worship and fellowship with us back at the church this Sunday.  Who knows how God may use your invitation to change someone’s life for all eternity?  Give someone a call, extend an invitation, send an email or text message, or forward this email.  See you Sunday!
