Sunday in the Park

How good it is to worship our great God!  And, how good to worship God in the biggest and best sanctuary ever built – the great out-of-doors!  That is exactly what we plan to be doing this coming Sunday, June 15, at Hope Martin Park in Waterloo.  It’s Grace Church’s first “Sunday in the Park” of the summer.  All are invited to join us for a time of worship, fellowship, a picnic potluck, and games for children.  Worship begins at 10:00 AM.  Invite your family and friends and plan to join us!

The message is entitled, “O Lord, Our Lord!” and is based on Psalm 8.  Worship will be led by our “Spirit of Grace” praise band, and is sure to lift your soul.  The food will be plentiful.  Hamburgers and hotdogs will be served hot-off the grill.  Side dishes will be provided potluck style courtesy of Grace Church members.   Games for children will follow the meal.  A playground is also available at the park.  And, the Holy Spirit will be present healing hearts and renewing lives!

Hope Martin Park is a newly renovated park with a beautiful shelter and restrooms that are conveniently located nearby.  Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.  A hat and/or some sunscreen may also be a good idea.  The shelter and restrooms are also handicapped accessible with sidewalks from the parking area.  Some handicapped parking spaces will be designated along Fletcher Avenue near the walk to the shelter.  If you need assistance, please let someone know.

What a tremendous opportunity this Sunday holds for Grace Church!  It’s an opportunity to worship our great God, fellowship and connect with others, make new friends, enjoy some delicious food, reach out to invite others, celebrate Father’s Day with your family, enjoy God’s good creation, and welcome visitors and newcomers.  In case of rain, all activities will be held at the church.  Please use the attached flyer to reach out and invite someone, or simply forward this email!
