Welcome Dale Assink!

Have you ever wondered what’s going on in the denomination to which we belong?  What has the Reformed Church in America been up to lately?  How has this historic denomination wrestled with all the many changes affecting churches today?  What is our plan moving forward?  What is our focus?  What’s happening in our particular classis?  What is our emerging new structure?  If you’ve ever wondered these things, then this Sunday is just for you!

This Sunday, we welcome the Rev. Dale Assink who comes all the way from Omaha, Nebraska just to be with Grace Church!  Dale is the Executive Minister for the Regional Synod of the Heartland to which our classis belongs.  Dale is excited to share what God is doing throughout the Reformed Church in America and especially how it relates to our newly emerging “Reformed Global [Middle] Assembly” which will soon replace our Pleasant Prairie Classis.  God is truly working in the RCA!

Please also join Dale following the service in our Fellowship Hall over refreshments for an informal time of Questions & Answers.  Dale will update us on the revisioning and restructuring that is happening within our denomination.  Copies of updates from our newly emerging middle assembly can be found on the mail slot shelf and will also be available in the Fellowship Hall during Dale’s presentation.  May you be inspired by Dale’s sharing and encouraged to belong to the RCA!

 So join your friends at Grace Church - where ordinary people experience God’s extraordinary grace – this Sunday, May 31!  Worship begins at 10:00 AM and will feature a blend of historic hymns and contemporary choruses.  Dale will preach for us while elder Phyllis Smith will facilitate our worship.  Children’s Church is provided for little ones.  Refreshments will follow the service for all in our Fellowship Hall.  All are invited and all will be welcome.  Join us Sunday with your friends and be blessed!
