The Third Party

We hear much about God the Father.  We celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  But how much time and attention is given to the third party of the Trinity?  It seems the Holy Spirit is often forgotten.  Yet, the Holy Spirit is the very “engine” that propels our life and faith forward.  Without the Holy Spirit, the blessings of God through Jesus would remain theoretical – hidden in heaven forever.  It is the Holy Spirit who brings the presence, peace, and power of God down to earth for us.

 This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday!  It is a day to celebrate the pouring out of the Holy Spirit into our midst and lives.  Pentecost marks the birth of the early New Testament church – believers empowered by God for mission in the world.  We also continue our study of Galatians this Sunday.  And, as God would have it, our passage is all about the Holy Spirit.  Together, we’ll discover four really important themes that emerge from Paul’s teaching.  How will these themes impact you?

Be encouraged by joining us at Grace Church this Sunday, May 24.  Worship begins at 10:00 AM and is sure to lift your soul.  The message will shed light on Paul’s argument in Galatians 3.  We’ll honor and remember veterans and those gone before in connection with Memorial Day.  Children’s will be treated to Children’s Church.  Refreshments will follow the service.  The Discovery Class will convene.  And, the Holy Spirit will be healing hearts and refreshing lives!  Come, and be blessed!
