How Great Our Joy!

What brings you joy?  I am so blessed to find joy in simple things.  It doesn’t take much to produce joy in my heart ... Spotting a deer while walking along the trail.  Seeing a finch land at my birdfeeder.  Savoring a delicious meal.  Listening to good music.  Attending a concert.  Sleeping in a warm bed.  Spending time with friends.  Eating an Arby’s roast beef sandwich!  These things may seem simple and silly to some.  But to me, they are actually life-giving.  They produce joy deep within me.

Imagine what brings you joy.  Now imagine that joyful feeling multiplied 1000 times over for all infinity and eternity.  This is the kind of joy Jesus brings!  And oh, how desperately needed is this joy in today’s dark and dreary world.  Truth is, many people are depressed.  Life has a way of beating us down.  Even believers can become dejected.  World affairs offer little hope.  Current events appear dismal.   Our personal lives may be riddled with pain and frustration.  Yet, there is a joy to be had!

Join us at Grace Church this Sunday, December 21, as we ‘unpack’ the supernatural joy of Jesus.  How can we discover such unending, enduring joy?  What makes this joy different than happiness?  Worship begins at 10:00 AM.  We’ll light four candles on our Advent wreath.  The music will lift your soul.  The message will inspire your heart.  Warm friends will greet you.  Visitors and guests will be welcomed and embraced.  Plus, the Holy Spirit will bring healing to all who are present and open!

If you could use some encouragement and a little more joy in your life, this Sunday’s service and message is just for you!  Or, you may know of someone who is going through a difficult time and needs a boost.  Please forward this email and reach out to invite them.  Or better yet, offer them a ride and bring them with you.  Grace Church is a place where ordinary people can experience God’s extraordinary grace.  Come, be blessed this Sunday.  And why not invite all your family and friends?!
