By Faith

How’s your faith?  Are you boldly believing for what you do not yet see?  Are you holding fast to the promises of God even when circumstances around you give reason for doubt?    Do you still hope even when living in a world of despair?  Hebrews 11:6 speaks of the importance of having faith: “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”  Faith is key.

I don’t know about you, but my faith is often like a yoyo going up and down.  Some days I have a lot of faith.  Other days I feel weak and filled with fear and doubt.  It’s normal, I suppose.  We are human.  But I’d truly like to have more faith and have it more consistently.  Perhaps you would say the same.  For this reason, we’ll take a look at that great “Hall of Faith” chapter, Hebrews 11, this Sunday which mentions at least 15 biblical characters who lived “by faith.”  May they inspire us!

Worship begins at 10:00 AM.  We’ll enjoy a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary music.  My message, “Keeping Faith,” will dramatically portray faith at work in the lives of believers, including those within Grace Church.  A nursery and Children’s Church will be provided for children.  Refreshments for all will follow the worship service.  Men will gather for prayer.  Visitors will be welcome.  And, you are urged to invite and bring a family member and/or friend.  See you Sunday!
