Hope for a Broken World

Our world is broken.  Wars rage across the globe.  Nations rise up against nation.  Politics is often corrupt.  There’s crime in our streets.  People face oppression.  Children die of hunger every day.  Storms wreak havoc.  Pollution threatens the air we breathe and water we drink.  And some predict that AI run amuck will kill all humans within the next decade.  It’s not a pretty picture.  In fact, it’s quite depressing really.  What will become of us?  Are humans on trajectory to kill ourselves?!

Yet there is hope.  It’s not in anything we can do.  Not in our clever plans or solutions.  Not in our politics or military might.  Not in AI super computers. Our hope is firmly rooted in Jesus Christ.  God has a plan to redeem this world.  God has a plan to unite all peoples.  God has a plan to restore His creation.  And guess what?  You and I are a vital part of this plan!  In fact, the “blueprint” for God’s plan is revealed in Ephesians 1:1-14.  God has revealed His plan to us.  We can know it and live it!

This Sunday marks the beginning of a new sermon series at Grace Church entitled “Every Spiritual Blessing” based on the book of Ephesians.  Over the next several weeks, we’ll discover and unpack God’s bold plan to reclaim His lost, broken, and fallen world.  It’s a plan of world-wide scope, encompassing every square inch of creation.  Yet, it is a deeply personal plan which involves you and me.  May “God’s Big Plan” begin to unfold in your life, Grace Church, and our world – all to His glory!

Worship begins at 10:00 AM.  Please prayerfully prepare your heart as the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated with believers all around the world in honor of Worldwide Communion Sunday.  Worship will be a blend of traditional and contemporary songs.  A nursery space and Children’s Church will be provided.  And, the healing power of the Holy Spirit will be moving in our midst, refreshing the hearts and lives of those who are open.  All are welcome and invited.  Please reach out and bring a friend!
