Freedom in Christ
Many people view faith in Jesus Christ as restrictive and confining. They think that becoming a Christian limits what you can do, the fun you may have, the life that you experience. They see faith like living in a straight-jacket. But that’s not biblical Christianity! Jesus came not to restrict, confine, or put limits on our lives, but to give you life abundantly – infinite, eternal, and free. Rules and religion restrict life with a list of “dos” and “don’ts.” A relationship with God gives freedom through Jesus!
Maybe you’ve been caught up in the “rat-race” of religion. Maybe you’ve been living under a list of rules and regulations. Perhaps your own faith in God has become nothing more than ‘going through the motions,’ or following a religious to-do list. If so, this Sunday’s message, “Set Free!” is just for you! We’ll focus on Paul’s exhortation in Galatians 5 not to be “burdened again by a yoke of slavery” and discover four specific things from which Jesus sets us free. Come, be liberated!
Worship begins at 10:00 AM featuring a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary choruses. The message will inspire you. The worship will lift your soul. Warm friends will greet you. We’ll receive two more new members. And the healing power of the Holy Spirit will be working and moving in our midst. A Nursery space and Children’s Church will also be provided for young children. Refreshments will follow the service. Men will gather for prayer. All will be welcomed and loved!
So please reach out and invite a friend or family member to join us. Better yet, volunteer to pick them up and bring them with you. Sunday’s message is one everyone needs to hear, and especially those who may have a negative or misguided view of the Christian faith. Forward an email, share a Facebook post, or simply call or text someone you know. Let’s pack the house to the glory of God this Sunday. May the presence and power of the living God be alive and moving in our midst this Sunday!
