Clean Hands & Pure Heart
The presence of God is an amazing thing! Have you ever felt God’s Spirit among you or within you? Sometimes while worshipping together on Sundays, we can feel the presence of God moving in our midst. Other times not so much. What makes the difference? How might we enjoy more of the presence and peace of God in our lives? Psalm 24 gives us a clue. Those who are able to draw near to God are the ones with “clean hands and a pure heart.” But what does this mean?
Clean hands represent what we do – our actions and behaviors. A pure heart represents our inner being – motives, attitudes, and thoughts. The Psalmist is teaching us that in order to draw near to God and feel His presence more, we need to be clean and pure. Jesus said: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God” (Matthew 5:8). Join us Sunday as we ‘unpack’ this beatitude and discover three ways to be pure in heart, plus three ways in which we will see God. Please join us!
Worship begins at 10:00 AM with a blend of historic hymns and contemporary songs. Worship will be God-focused, Christ-centered, and Spirit-filled. The message will be biblical, relevant, and challenging. Our fellowship will be joyful, welcoming, and loving. A children’s church will be offered for little ones, along with a nursery space. Refreshments will be served following worship. And the Discovery Class and Men’s Prayer Gathering will meet following worship. Don’t miss your blessing!
