Have you ever struggled with your internet connection? No matter what you tried, it seemed you just couldn’t connect! Your computer wouldn’t connect to your router. Your cell phone wouldn’t connect to your Wi-Fi. Your smart TV kept searching for a signal, but didn’t find it. As good as technology is, it doesn’t always work the way it’s suppose to. You probably know the frustration. But thankfully, there is a wireless connection that never fails. It’s always available. And, it’s free!
The connection I’m talking about is not through an internet service provider. It’s not a satellite TV or cable company. The free wireless connection that never fails Is PRAYER. The gift of prayer allows us to connect with God at any time and anywhere. Jesus frequently left the crowds to spend time with his Father in prayer. Paul exhorts us in Ephesians 6:18 to: “Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” A friend of mine once said: “God is only a prayer away.”
This Sunday we continue our sermon series on the Book of Ephesians by taking a look at a powerful prayer the Apostle Paul offers for the Ephesians believers. Paul has already laid out God’s plan of salvation, reconciliation, and unity for all humankind. Now, in a moment of humility, Paul recognizes our compete inability to live into God’s plan by our own strength. Divine intervention will be needed. Help us, Lord! Help me, Lord! Making God’s plan a reality requires supernatural power.
If you could use some supernatural power in your life and would like to see God’s plan for humanity become a reality, please join us this Sunday! The message will empower you. Worship will inspire you. Warm friends will embrace you. Worship begins at 10:00 AM with a blend of traditional and contemporary song. A Children’s Church is provided. And, we’ll celebrate Carlene Stock’s 90th birthday with cake, goodies, and beverage for all following worship. Please join us and invite a friend!
