Faith-Raising
How’s your faith? Jesus said: “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.’” Oh to have that kind of faith! Honestly, I don’t think Jesus was interested in re-arranging the landscape. Most likely, he was referring to the “mountains” in our lives which keep us from being and becoming all that God wants us to be. Obstacles and opposition are no match for the person of true faith!
This weekend is a time for growing your faith at Grace Church. It begins with a delicious Turkey & Ham Supper followed by a Praise Band Concert on Saturday evening. Both events are opportunities to raise your faith as we enjoy great food, warm fellowship, heart-felt praise, and an occasion to give generously. We’ve fallen behind in our giving this year. Saturday is an opportunity not merely for fund-raising, but for faith-raising. One person has already matched my generous gift. What will you do?
Faith raising continues on Sunday as we gather to worship our great God and receive an encouraging message entitled, “Biblical Christianity.” The sermon will examine three key differences between our American brand of Christianity versus a truer biblical expression of Christianity. It promises to be a challenging message which will make you think. Plus, it includes three practical ways we can activate our faith to make a difference in the world. Please join us with your loved ones.
Worship begins at 10:00 AM. We will honor veterans in connection with upcoming Veteran’s Day. The message will inspire. Worship will elevate you. Warm friends will greet you. Visitors will be welcome. Children’s Church is provided for little ones. And, the healing presence of the Holy Spirit will be moving in our midst. A time of refreshments and fellowship will follow the service along with a time for men to gather to pray. Drama practice begins at 12:00 noon. May God be praised!
Use the attached flyers or forward this email to invite others to join us at our Supper and Concert. Who do you know who could be blessed at Grace Church this weekend? Are they family members, friends, neighbors, classmates, teammates, or maybe even total strangers that God puts in your path? Let’s take advantage of this weekend to bless others, praise God, and reduce our deficit. Please plan to join us and prepare to give your best gift. It’s about faith. You can never outgive God!
